70 tiers · 1.00 to 2.73
Climb two dollars, never fall one
A profit target on its own says nothing — almost every futures firm asks the same 6%. A drawdown on its own says nothing either. Divide one by the other and you have the shape of the entire evaluation: how far you must climb against how far you may fall back.
Every drawdown in this section trails, so the ratio is not a metaphor. Your equity peak has to rise by the target while never retracing the drawdown from any peak along the way. On 25 of 70 tiers that means climbing two dollars for every one you may fall.

Almost every ladder gets harsher as you go up it
16 of the 17 multi-size ladders here worsen on this ratio as the account grows , and one does not. A bigger account is sold as more capital. On this measure it is also a steeper climb per dollar of rope.

The one that does not
The5ers Futures · Futures Evaluation holds the ratio at 1.50 across all 4 sizes it sells. Target and drawdown are both a fixed percentage of the account there — 6% and 4% — so the proportion cannot drift as the account grows. It is the only ladder here built that way.
This page said “without a single exception” until the rest of that firm's sizes were read. They were not an exception because the field changed; they were an exception all along, sitting behind a selector that had not been opened.
The 4 tiers that ask no more than they risk
Take Profit Trader, Bulenox, OneUp Trader, Leeloo Trading each set the target and the drawdown to the same figure — $1,500 against $1,500. Every one of them is the $25,000 account , the smallest size each of those firms sells . It is the only place on this list where the evaluation gives you as much room as it asks for.
Why Alpha Futures is not in the table
Alpha Futures publish a figure the rest of this page would call a profit target, and it is not one. Their own rules describe it as a payout threshold on an account that is already funded — there is no evaluation to pass, so the figure governs when you may be paid rather than whether you keep the account. Dividing it by a drawdown produces a number that looks like every other row and means something different.
It would have sat near the top of the range and made the field look harsher than it is. Leaving it out is the honest reading; leaving it out silently would not have been.
And 2 more that cannot be read this way
E8 Futures' E8 Signature and Earn2Trade's Trader Career Path publish a target and a drawdown like everyone else, and call the drawdown an end-of-day one without saying whether the level follows the account up. Every sentence on this page depends on that: "climb two, never fall one" describes a retracement from a moving peak, and a floor that does not move is a different claim entirely.
So they are left out of the table rather than assumed into it. Their figures are in the section table, where a ratio is not being read into them.
What the ratio does not tell you
It says nothing about how long you have, what a bad day costs, or how large a position you may hold while climbing. Those are separate rules and this site takes them separately — the daily limit sits inside this same drawdown, and the contract limit decides how fast you can spend it. The ratio is the destination and the fall you may take getting there. It is not the road.

Questions
- What is the profit target to drawdown ratio in futures prop firms?
- The target divided by the maximum loss. Across the 70 tiers here it runs from 1.00 to 2.73. Because every drawdown here trails, the ratio reads literally: your equity peak must climb by the target while never falling back by the drawdown from any peak on the way.
- Which futures evaluations ask no more than they let you lose?
- 4 tiers, all at $25,000: Take Profit Trader, Bulenox, OneUp Trader, Leeloo Trading. Each asks $1,500 against $1,500, so the target and the drawdown are the same figure.
- Does a bigger prop firm account make the evaluation easier?
- Almost never on this measure. 16 of the 17 multi-size ladders read here get worse as the account grows. OneUp Trader’s $250,000 wants $15,000 made while never falling $5,500 from a peak — the harshest tier on the list.
- Why is the profit target not published as a ratio?
- Because the target and the drawdown are printed in different rows, usually in different units — a target as a percentage of the account and a drawdown as a dollar figure. Divided into one another they describe the account better than either does alone, and no firm here shows the division.
