Lux Trading Firm

Everything below is read from Lux Trading Firm's own rules page and dated. What it costs and what it pays are on their site; what the rules mean at your risk per trade is not, and that is what this page adds.

Published rules

1-Step Evaluation — $100K

difficulty ratio 1.67
Evaluation profit target 10%
Maximum daily loss none published
Maximum overall loss 6% (static)
Minimum trading days none published
Profit split up to 80%
Fee refunded on passing yes
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 6 consecutive losers

What it costs

Account Fee Profit to break even
$100,000 GBP 199 refunded on passing

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it , netting out the refunded one.

  • · Risk per trade is capped by the rules at 5% of remaining risk capital — balance minus the drawdown floor — not of the balance. Early on that is 5% of 6%, so roughly 0.3% of the account, and it tightens as the floor is approached.
  • · A stop loss must be placed BEFORE entering, and trading without one is a rule breach that can fail the evaluation.
  • · No single position may realise more than 5% of the profit target: $500 of the $10,000 needed here. Correlated positions in the same direction count as one trade, and closing and reopening does not reset the cap.
  • · The fee is refunded in full on passing, after a risk-desk review, and is otherwise non-refundable from the moment the login details are emailed.

1-Step Evaluation — $400K

difficulty ratio 2.00
Evaluation profit target 12%
Maximum daily loss none published
Maximum overall loss 6% (static)
Minimum trading days none published
Profit split up to 80%
Fee refunded on passing yes
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 6 consecutive losers

What it costs

Account Fee Profit to break even
$400,000 GBP 449 refunded on passing

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it , netting out the refunded one.

  • · The same 6% drawdown as the $100K account against a target two points higher. Buying more capital from this firm buys a harder evaluation, and the ratio is the figure that shows it.
  • · Single-trade profit cap: $2,400.

1-Step Evaluation — $1M

difficulty ratio 2.50
Evaluation profit target 15%
Maximum daily loss none published
Maximum overall loss 6% (static)
Minimum trading days none published
Profit split up to 80%
Fee refunded on passing yes
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 6 consecutive losers

What it costs

Account Fee Profit to break even
$1,000,000 GBP 999 refunded on passing

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it , netting out the refunded one.

  • · Fifteen percent against six is the steepest ratio recorded on this site, and it is the same firm’s own easiest programme scaled up.
  • · Single-trade profit cap: $7,500.

INSTA

difficulty ratio 2.00
INSTA profit target 12%
Maximum daily loss none published
Maximum overall loss 6% (static)
Minimum trading days none published
Profit split none published
Fee refunded on passing no
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 6 consecutive losers

What it costs

Account Fee Profit to break even
$400,000 GBP 699

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it .

  • · Not instant funding in the usual sense. The account is a demo, there is a 12% target to reach, and what passing buys is a payment — 80% of the target — rather than a funded account: "INSTA accounts do not scale."
  • · The fee is not refunded on passing or on failing.
  • · The $100,000 INSTA carries the same 12% target and 6% drawdown; its fee is not published.

Questions

What are Lux Trading Firm's challenge rules?
As published on the firm's own pages, read 2026-08-06: 1-Step Evaluation — $100K: 10% target, no published daily limit, 6% overall (static); 1-Step Evaluation — $400K: 12% target, no published daily limit, 6% overall (static); 1-Step Evaluation — $1M: 15% target, no published daily limit, 6% overall (static); INSTA: 12% target, no published daily limit, 6% overall (static). What these mean at your own risk per trade — how many consecutive losing trades each cap allows — is computed in the tables on this page.
Does Lux Trading Firm refund the challenge fee?
1-Step Evaluation — $100K: yes; 1-Step Evaluation — $400K: yes; 1-Step Evaluation — $1M: yes; INSTA: no. Where a refund exists, when it actually arrives is recorded in the rules above — several firms pay it with a later reward rather than on passing.

What is not on this page

A pass rate. Nobody publishes one, and the percentages in circulation come from firms selling challenges or affiliates earning on sign-ups. A number with that provenance would make this page look more authoritative and be worth less.

Fees are shown as displayed on the date read, and prop firms discount often — treat the figure as a snapshot and check the firm's own page before paying. What this page adds is the part that page does not tell you: what the rules mean at the risk you actually trade, and what the attempt costs once you stop assuming you pass first time. Run them against your own numbers.

Before you buy an attempt

Work out how many consecutive losers the drawdown allows at your risk per trade, and multiply the fee by the number of attempts you honestly expect. Both take a minute and both change the decision.
