Funding Traders

Everything below is read from Funding Traders' own rules page and dated. What it costs and what it pays are on their site; what the rules mean at your risk per trade is not, and that is what this page adds.

Published rules

2-Step Pro (PRO6)

difficulty ratio 2.00
Phase 1 profit target 6%
Phase 2 profit target 6%
Maximum daily loss 3% — ends the attempt
Maximum overall loss 6% (static)
Minimum trading days 4
Profit split none published
Fee refunded on passing no
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 3 consecutive losers
  • · THREE-WAY CONTRADICTION ON THE WEEKEND RULE, and this one fails accounts. The Terms of Service say "Not allowed. All trades must be closed by market close on Friday"; the General Guidelines say at least one hour before market close on Friday; a third surface differs again. A rule that ends an evaluation should not have three published versions.
  • · PAYOUT CADENCE IS PUBLISHED TWO WAYS: Terms of Service section 7.1 says every 14 days, while the homepage card, the checkout and a June 2026 announcement all say 7.
  • · The profit split is sold rather than given: 90% costs 20% on top of the fee and 100% costs 30%.
  • · Six percent asked twice against a six percent drawdown — a difficulty ratio of 2.00, and the tightest daily limit the firm sells at 3%.

2-Step Pro (PRO10)

difficulty ratio 1.50
Phase 1 profit target 10%
Phase 2 profit target 5%
Maximum daily loss 5% — ends the attempt
Maximum overall loss 10% (static)
Minimum trading days 4
Profit split none published
Fee refunded on passing no
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 5 consecutive losers
  • · The roomier of the two 2-Step variants: five points of daily limit inside ten overall, against PRO6’s three inside six.
  • · The same three-way weekend contradiction and the same two published payout cadences as the rest of the range.
  • · The four minimum trading days are published on the homepage tab; the Terms of Service state a different requirement for passing, which the reading did not reconcile.

1-Step Pro

difficulty ratio 1.00
Evaluation profit target 10%
Maximum daily loss 3% — ends the attempt
Maximum overall loss 10% (trailing close)
Minimum trading days none published
Profit split none published
Fee refunded on passing no
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 3 consecutive losers
  • · Ten percent of profit against a ten percent drawdown is a difficulty ratio of 1.00 — as much rope as road — and the 3% daily limit is what actually decides it, three full-risk losses in.
  • · The drawdown trails the highest closed balance, so banking profit raises the floor by the same amount rather than buying room.
  • · The same three-way weekend contradiction and two payout cadences as the rest of the range.

Instant Funding

no evaluation
Profit target none — funded from day one
Maximum daily loss 3% — ends the attempt
Maximum overall loss 6% (trailing close)
Minimum trading days none published
Profit split none published
Fee refunded on passing no
Time limit none published
At 1% risk per trade, the attempt ends after 3 consecutive losers
  • · No evaluation, so the caps are the whole product: 3% daily inside a 6% drawdown that trails the highest closed balance.
  • · The News Holding add-on is priced two ways by the firm: its own article says 15% of the fee, its checkout charges 20%.
  • · Sold up to $400,000, the largest account in the range.

Questions

What are Funding Traders' challenge rules?
As published on the firm's own pages, read 2026-08-23: 2-Step Pro (PRO6): 6% + 6% target, 3% daily limit, 6% overall (static); 2-Step Pro (PRO10): 10% + 5% target, 5% daily limit, 10% overall (static); 1-Step Pro: 10% target, 3% daily limit, 10% overall (trailing close); Instant Funding: no profit target, 3% daily limit, 6% overall (trailing close). What these mean at your own risk per trade — how many consecutive losing trades each cap allows — is computed in the tables on this page.
Does Funding Traders refund the challenge fee?
2-Step Pro (PRO6): no; 2-Step Pro (PRO10): no; 1-Step Pro: no; Instant Funding: no. Where a refund exists, when it actually arrives is recorded in the rules above — several firms pay it with a later reward rather than on passing.

What is not on this page

A pass rate. Nobody publishes one, and the percentages in circulation come from firms selling challenges or affiliates earning on sign-ups. A number with that provenance would make this page look more authoritative and be worth less.

Fees are shown as displayed on the date read, and prop firms discount often — treat the figure as a snapshot and check the firm's own page before paying. What this page adds is the part that page does not tell you: what the rules mean at the risk you actually trade, and what the attempt costs once you stop assuming you pass first time. Run them against your own numbers.

Before you buy an attempt

Work out how many consecutive losers the drawdown allows at your risk per trade, and multiply the fee by the number of attempts you honestly expect. Both take a minute and both change the decision.
