City Traders Imperium
Everything below is read from City Traders Imperium's own rules page and dated. What it costs and what it pays are on their site; what the rules mean at your risk per trade is not, and that is what this page adds.
The funded account is simulated
City Traders Imperium's own materials describe the capital as simulated. You are paid a share of notional profit under a contract rather than trading a funded brokerage account. That is what the product is — worth knowing before you price the fee against it, not after.

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it .
- · The three days must be PROFITABLE days — the firm’s own table reads "Min Profitable Trading Days 3". That is a harder requirement than the trading-day minimums other firms publish, because a losing week cannot satisfy it by trading more.
- · The trail never stops, so 5% is the most that can ever be given back from the peak balance no matter how far the account has run. Withdrawals are excluded from the watermark.
- · The only CTI programme that permits third-party expert advisors and Martingale; the other three allow personal EAs only and forbid Martingale.

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it .
- · Both caps are measured on closed balance, not equity: "CTI checks only closed trades against the limits." An open position at a floating loss cannot breach either one, which is a materially easier rule than the equity-based version most firms use.
- · The daily cap is 5% of the start-of-day balance and the overall cap 10% of the initial balance — neither moves with profit.
- · Three PROFITABLE days are required in each phase, six in total.

One attempt. Multiply by the attempts you expect — the calculator does it .
- · No evaluation: "funded from day one". The 10% is a scaling milestone that doubles the balance, not a target to pass.
- · You start on half the advertised account size, and the profit share starts at 50% rather than the 80% the challenges pay. Reaching the full size and a 70% share means clearing the first 10% milestone.
- · Nothing is refundable on this programme either, and the reset discount is 10% rather than the challenges’ 15%.

- · The same product as Instant Funding without the half-sized start: full balance from day one and a 70% profit share from the first trade, for roughly three times the fee at the same traded size.
- · Same 6% static drawdown, same absence of a daily limit, same scaling ladder.

Questions
- What are City Traders Imperium's challenge rules?
- As published on the firm's own pages, read 2026-08-06: 1-Step Challenge: 8% target, no published daily limit, 5% overall (trailing close); 2-Step Challenge: 10% + 5% target, 5% daily limit, 10% overall (static); Instant Funding: no profit target, no published daily limit, 6% overall (static); Direct Funding: no profit target, no published daily limit, 6% overall (static). What these mean at your own risk per trade — how many consecutive losing trades each cap allows — is computed in the tables on this page.
- Does City Traders Imperium refund the challenge fee?
- 1-Step Challenge: no; 2-Step Challenge: no; Instant Funding: no; Direct Funding: no. Where a refund exists, when it actually arrives is recorded in the rules above — several firms pay it with a later reward rather than on passing.
- Is City Traders Imperium's funded account real money?
- City Traders Imperium's own materials describe the capital as simulated. You are paid a share of notional profit under a contract rather than trading a funded brokerage account — the source and the date we read it are cited on this page.
What is not on this page
A pass rate. Nobody publishes one, and the percentages in circulation come from firms selling challenges or affiliates earning on sign-ups. A number with that provenance would make this page look more authoritative and be worth less.
Fees are shown as displayed on the date read, and prop firms discount often — treat the figure as a snapshot and check the firm's own page before paying. What this page adds is the part that page does not tell you: what the rules mean at the risk you actually trade, and what the attempt costs once you stop assuming you pass first time. Run them against your own numbers.
Before you buy an attempt
Work out how many consecutive losers the drawdown allows at your risk per trade, and multiply the fee by the number of attempts you honestly expect. Both take a minute and both change the decision.
